Milk & Candy plays with the tension between softness and excess, sweetness and simplicity. The title brings together two familiar things that feel almost childlike, while the painting itself sits somewhere less certain - between memory, fantasy and colour.
 
There’s something deliberately uncomplicated about the pairing. Milk is quiet, pale and comforting; candy is bright, artificial and indulgent. Together they suggest a kind of visual push and pull - something familiar becoming strange through colour, texture and context.
