New collection alert!

Sharing with you some of my new abstract paintings from my new collection!

Hello all!

It's been a quite a while since I've written anything on my blog and I've seriously been missing it.

I find writing so therapeutic and a great way to connect with my followers. I always aim to write more but you know how it is, life gets in the way, one thing after the other, and the next thing you know the week is over and you finally have some down time to relax.

The last few months have been fairly up and down, mixed emotions. In April & May, I was extremely busy and sold many of my abstract paintings. It was so overwhelming to receive so much love and support from you all.

I have created a new metallic gold collection of abstract paintings which are now on my website. This collection focuses on more earth tones, using the subtle tones of the landscape - off whites/light greys/creams/gold to name a few. I wanted this collection to draw upon the experiences of some of the best times I have had in recent years, surrounded by the purity of nature & the sea.

You can see some of the works here:

What's been really important in this new collection of works is to evoke the emotions of the experiences I have felt and the joy and happiness that I feel when I am surrounded by the serenity of water & nature. This piece in particular above 'Querencia' is an abstract painting which encapsulates the clouds in the sky, the ripples of the water, the delicacy of the rocks on the cliff, and the movement of the landscape over time.

I have tried to bring together these forces into this piece whilst also keeping the balance with the metallic gold to give the all important element reflection. In my opinion, abstract paintings need to put into the context of the world, and not just be splashes of colour on a canvas.

The true value of abstract art is the story which lies within the canvas. The way the paint is manipulated and the subtle brush stokes are integral to understanding abstract paintings and delving deeper into the mind of an artist. The importance of these values has not been undermined in this new collection of pieces and with each piece lies a little snippet of a time I have shared with nature.

I'm so pleased with this new collection of pieces and I would love nothing more than for you to check out my works on my website here!

Thank you all for your continued support.

Rajan
